There are essentially two distinct types of CVs. The first kind is a Chronological CV that lists your eligibility and work experience in chronological order. Nearly 99 percent of the CVs which people write for job programs are of the kind. Then there's that the Skill-based CV, also referred to as a functional CV that's composed when you apply for a job requiring a particular skill.
